Metal Porch Roof Condensation – If you’re seeking front porch ideas that will make your pooch the envy of your area, then I’ve got three inspiring thoughts here. Two are front porch decorating ideas and the third is all about entertaining on your porch. I recently saw a porch makeover where a gorgeous mirror has been hung on a gorgeous contemporary porch. The mirror has been hung from chains and represented the outdoors. Envision hanging a mirror on your porch. Not just any mirror but one which has an attractive framework. What would it reflect? The trees in your front yard? Maybe some brilliant hanging baskets hanging from the porch?

A mirror is a gorgeous accent that you do not expect to see on a porch. However, as you probably have noticed, a growing number of people are creating outdoor rooms which are comfortable like the chambers inside their homes. This porch I noticed was no exception – it was beautifully furnished with a wicker couch and striking white and red cushions. A mirror on the porch is a conversation starter for sure. Just be sure to secure the mirror into your own porch so that it doesn’t blow with the wind.

My second porch decorating idea is to use landscape lighting in the evening to illuminate your porch. I know someone who devised a plant lamp. The plant lamp works using a potted plant or a hanging basket. It bathes the plant in the evening with a soft glow. The homeowner can put the plant lamp on a timer. So imagine an extremely attractive seating area in your own porch that’s softly lit by lamps which show off your potted plants.
Or think about greenery or flowers in baskets that line your own porch steps and are illuminated in the evening. How inviting would this be? A plant lamp can add the perfect sparkle to a porch in the evening and create a welcoming tone. My third front porch notion is all about entertaining in your porch. How about turning a nice wooden picnic table into a drink and appetizer buffet for the next porch party? I found this idea from the book titled Perfect Porches.
If your front porch or outside area is big enough to accommodate a small picnic table, it is possible to toss a fairly checkered table cloth on it (or not!) . Then spread out your choice of wine bottles, sparkling juices, crystal wine glasses, fairly baskets full of fruit, cheeses, and crackers. Fill vases into the brim with fresh flowers from the garden. And another great touch is to put soft cushions on the picnic table benches.
